Imagine back to your childhood. It is a warm summer day and you are racing to the playground at your favorite park to run, jump and climb. Those memories make me smile at a simpler time when exercise was in the form of play.


As we grow up and navigate the demands of adulting, many of us have lost that joy in moving our bodies. We often have sedentary jobs followed by evenings spent on the couch streaming favorite shows. The problem lies in that our bodies are made to move, in fact, regular movement is essential for optimal health.


The benefit of exercise for our physical health is well established. Often, the demands of life leave us exhausted, overwhelmed and unmotivated. What if you approached movement from a holistic lens, acknowledging your thoughts and feelings towards your exercise routine.


Choose to move your body in a way that is fun and brings you joy, and you get the physical benefits of exercise, as well as the mental and emotional benefits. Enjoying your exercise also helps create sustainable habits for exercise and movement, getting you closer towards your health goals and overall well being.
